That which is commonly seen as 'in balance', is, for me, 'entropy.' Positive change is always only an illusion. All of the annual festivals that our culture enjoys for social bonding always leaves me feeling further isolated.
The resolution: From Christopher Nolan's Interstellar (2014), Casey Affleck, playing Tom, the protagonist's son, leaving a series of video letters that he despondently notes will likely never be seen by another human. The message in the film that we are ineffably connected, however tiny our own awareness of that connection may be.
